How the power tiller works
Power tiller is basically a set of blades (called tines) mounted inside a wheeled housing, powered by a gasoline engine , diesel engine or an electric motor. Each tooth consists of four blades that alternately bend in opposite directions. Blades one and three are curved and point towards the tiller; blades two and four are curved and point away from the tiller. The inward tines prevent clods of soil and grass from building up on the blade, while the outward tines are heavy duty knives. They work together to actively excavate the soil while moving the soil away from the teeth so they don't clog the teeth.
